- His name could be a reference to Michael Jackson's album "Thriller". As MJ stands for Michael Jackson and the album releasing in 1982.
- It's also possible that MJ 182's name could be a reference to Aliens Exist by Blink-182. Hence the alien on his shirt and the name.
- MJ 182 could also be a reference to Souffle. As the eyes and sound is similar.
- MJ 182 is used to unlock the first bonus, Flow.
- Despite sounding like an effect, MJ 182 is categorized as a beat. This is an inversion of Boom Fuzz being in the effect section.
