Trillybox V3 is about a fan-made topic, which is not part of Incredibox's canonical history and/or universe, and is therefore not affiliated with So Far So Good. |
Pollywog is a Scratch mod as well as the third installment to the Trillybox series. It was released on April 26, 2023.
This mod is considered as a joke and was purely made to make people laugh, meaning it was not meant to be taken seriously.
Instructions (or description)[]
“Alright, I'm going to cut right to the chase. We haven't been honest with you these past 2 versions. We have lied and schemed, all for our own selfish reasons. The truth is, both Sozzled and Bupkis are joke mods. They were made with the intention to be funny, to perhaps invoke a chuckle or a slight snicker upon its victim. I know that this is a very hard thing to process. All your life you had the idea that Trillybox was a completely serious mod series, that it was created purely with the intention to inspire and push the limits of creative potential, but alas, that was but a lie. To you and ourselves alike. However, I have finally come to terms with the fact that I have created the very thing I swore to destroy, that I have become the monster I pushed away all these years. The others don't believe me. Both Cantab and LarioCart have been hunting me relentlessly for multiple weeks, trying to delete this version, which is the evidence of our shortcomings. This mod is not serious, not even a little. It is a joke mod. The minimal effort put into entertaining the viewer with designs, sounds and animations, does not change the fact that this mod was created solely with the intention to cause a humorous reaction. If you read this far, good job, you have my blessing. It is vital that people know my story, for I fear that it will soon come to an end by the hands of my peers. I cannot give you any material compensation, for I have nothing to give, but perhaps I can gift you something else. I give to you my secret, a number, 42069, which, when typed, summons a powerful entity the likes of which our world has never seen: The Dorito Lord (from The scatposters by @TheHydrationMan5500. Alternatively, (if you're on mobile) you can press the bottom-right hand corner in the settings menu and enter it there. I must warn you, once you summon him, there is no going back. Goodbye, and good luck. Just kidding this mod is again, a complete joke.”
Overview[]
Pollywog is extremely abnormal and surreal. As with all prior installments, Pollywog has a consistent color scheme among the different sound categories; beats are red and blue, effects are pink and orange/brown, melodies are yellow and green, and voices are magenta/green. The design of characters are abstract and over-exaggerated, with most characters having overhauled or distorted facial features. Despite this, the mod retains some form of decent sound design. The overall theme of Pollywog carries an uneasy and suspenseful vibe, aside from the comical sounds.
Secrets[]
Pollywog has two secret characters that are a highlight of the mod. They are both as follows:
- Voice five, or Axel (referencing Axel in Harlem) once removed after being placed in-game, is shown slipping and falling instead of the usual drop-down animation. Upon adding him back, he is replaced by a tombstone with his face on it, revealing him to have died.
- If you type in “42069”, The Dorito Lord will appear at the top of your screen. On mobile, you can access this by going into settings and tapping the bottom right. He is a character from a separate mod "The Scatposters" by the Hydration Man.
Trivia[]
- Pollywog is the first Trillybox version where InfinityChubs88 collaborated with the Hydration Man to form a consistent universe. After the mods release, the description of Scatposters was changed to say that it takes place in the same modular universe as Trillybox.
- Trillybox was originally going to be the last Incredibox mod set in the Trillybox universe, with the lore being continued in non-mod releases such as the Night with the Scatposters, however this plan was reversed.
- Axel is not only a reference to the adult animation by Animan Studios, but is also a reoccurring character in Trillybox, appearing in both v1 Sozzled and v2 Bupkis.
- Axel in this version sings the Burger King parody of Ballin, whereas the Dorito Lord sings the choir from "Gangsta's Paradise.", whilst Voice 2 sings a cover of “California Gurls” by Katy Perry.
- After Axel's death he sings See You Again instead.
